Teeling Whiskey Distillery scoops award for “Experience of the Year”
This is the first award for the Distillery, which has been open to the public since June
We’re all delighted here at Teeling HQ as just four months on from opening the doors to Dublin’s only operational distillery, we’ve only gone and won our first award for our distillery experience! “Experience of the Year” as accredited by the highly acclaimed, Luxury Travel Guide.
The Luxury Travel Guide Awards represent the pinnacle of travel and tourism achievements, championing the best ‘visitor focused’ companies and organisations in the industry.
Each year the Luxury Travel Guide Awards are broken down into regions to coincide with the release of the respective Luxury Travel Guide. All winners of the Luxury Travel Guide Awards are subject to the same rigorous assessment criteria, carried out by in-house professionals. This ensures only the most deserving organisations are granted an accolade and gain a place in the eagerly anticipated award winner’s guide.
On the 5th September, we celebrated another milestone, welcoming the 10,000th visitor since first opening our doors 4 months ago. The distillery, which is currently the only operational distillery in Dublin, has swiftly proven to be a must-see attraction for tourists from across the globe and local whiskey enthusiasts alike.
Speaking about the distillery’s success over the last few months, Jack Teeling, founder of the Teeling Whiskey Company commented; “We are thrilled to have won an award for Best Experience of the year. This is a fantastic achievement for us, especially considering that the distillery has only been open to the public for the last four months. A year ago, we were only breaking ground on the distillery so we’re extremely proud of what our hardworking team have produced in such a short time.”
The Teeling Whiskey Distillery and visitor centre is located at 17 Newmarket, Dublin 8, and is open 7 days a week. Visitors can now access the distillery via the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus, getting off at stop 12A.
