Teeling donates proceeds from whiskey sales to local school!

Since opening the distillery we have focused on giving back to our local communities with a percentage of our tours and the proceeds of our very first bottling of Dublin distilled Teeling Whiskey being gifted to local charities.

With the Visitor Experience having been closed for much of the last year, we wanted to do something to give back to the local community. In June, we released our Birthday Batch bottling to celebrate our distillery’s 6th Birthday. We used this special release to generate much needed funds for the community and so, all profits generated from the bottle sales of this whiskey would go to  local children and teenagers who have been particularly affected during the Covid-19 pandemic.

We decided to donate the proceeds from sales of our Birthday Batch Bottling to purchase much needed laptops for 6^th year students of Warrenmount Secondary School. We’re delighted that we were able to support their education, and make remote learning a little easier during a very tough school year. We’re very proud to play our part in the community spirit of our great neighbourhood.

Teeling Whiskey founder, Jack Teeling commented: “”Since we opened the doors of our new Dublin distillery we have strived to be a good resident of the Liberties and ensure we contributed positively to the local community. In normal years we have been donating a percentage of all our tour admissions back to local charities but as a result of being mainly closed as a result of COVID we were not in a position to do so. As such we came up with the idea of a Birthday Batch which would allow us to celebrate our 6th birthday and more importantly have money to give back to the local community. Thanks to all your support we have been hopefully be able to make a difference to the local school and support some of the people most effected by the challenges of the last 18 months.”
