Meet Team Teeling: Jose Marin

Originally from Venezuela, Jose came to Ireland 9 years ago, and fell in love with our country. In April of 2015 he joined Team Teeling and has been a friendly face and a permanent fixture ever since. Jose recently celebrated getting his Irish citizenship and is planning on staying in Ireland for many happy years to come! We asked him a few questions about what he enjoys about working for Teeling and in particular in the Gift Shop.

Jose loves getting the chance to interact with customers at the Gift Shop and being able to help them decide on what they want, offering helpful hints and tips. He believes that we’re not just selling a product to our customers, but a whole experience. He’s particularly passionate about our whiskeys, with Teeling Small Batch being his favourite. He says;

“I love the flavour of tropical fruits, cinnamon and vanilla remind that come from the Rum Cask finish. I grew up in a tropical island in South America. The small batch brings back all the good memories I have from my life there.”
