Teeling Whiskey Distillery ‘Maturing Nicely’ as it Celebrates Fourth Anniversary

Teeling Whiskey is celebrating the fourth anniversary of its award-winning distillery. In June 2015, Teeling Whiskey began a new chapter in modern Irish whiskey history when it opened the first new distillery in Dublin for over 125 years to the public.

In the past four years, over 425,000 people have visited the Teeling Whiskey Distillery, to experience the unique sounds and smells of an authentic, modern Irish whiskey distillery in the heart of Dublin’s city. In the four-year period, a combination of visitors to the distillery, sales from the adjoining distillery café and gift shop as well as sales from event space rental have generated a revenue figure of close to €13 million for Teeling Whiskey.

Jack Teeling, Founder and Managing Director, Teeling Whiskey and Stephen Teeling, Sales and Marketing Director, Teeling Whiskey were joined at the anniversary celebrations by Vivienne Storan of Fáilte Ireland. The Teeling Whiskey Distillery was recently singled out by Fáilte Ireland as a world class attraction that was deserving of a €200,000 grant. Named as one of the recipients of Fáilte Ireland’s Dublin Surprising Stories grant scheme, the money awarded will be used by Teeling Whiskey to evolve the distillery’s visitor experience in the years to come.
