Meet Team Teeling: Head Tour Guide – Eve

At 21, our head tour guide Eve has an amazing knowledge and appreciation for whiskey for her age. She’s been working at Teeling for over a year and a half and during that time her passion and knowledge along with her natural friendliness and bubbly personality has made her one of our most popular tour guides.

She’s passionate about the whole tour, but the maturation space is her favourite area. What interests Eve most about the maturation process is that it’s where the exact science of the distillation process meets the craft of maturation. In her own words “I enjoy the maturation room part of the tour because it’s where the guests really get a grasp of the love, effort, patience and the influence of the Irish environment behind Teeling Whiskey.”

Eve’s favourite whiskey is the 24 Year Old Vintage Single Malt. She loves the sweetness that comes from the ex-Sauterne casks which the whiskey is married in, however the small portion of peated malt is what makes it really stand out for her. Eve says “The silky mouth feel complimented with that sweet fruity wine is unbelievably soft but the whisper of smoke is like a pleasant memory on the finish.”

She loves working at the distillery and we’re lucky to have her in the team!
