Teeling Whiskey Distillery – Designblok Showcase
Culture and design are very much alive at the Teeling Whiskey Distillery as today we unveil the critically acclaimed “Designblok Showcase” in our exhibition space. This collection is exclusively on show here at the Teeling Whiskey Distillery for a two week period and we’re all very excited to show it off!
This innovative display is designed to give Dubliners an inspiring taste of Czech culture and creativity, the distillery will exhibit a collection of the best of domestic design from the world’s leading Czech producers and manufacturers. Taking place until Friday, October 9th, the exhibition gives insight into the workings of renowned Czech artists whose creations can be found in the largest Central European design festival, Designblok.
Speaking about the exclusive exhibition, founder and managing director of the Teeling Whiskey Distillery, Jack Teeling commented; ‘We are delighted to welcome the Designblok Selection to the Teeling Whiskey Distillery. The distillery has attracted a fantastic volume of visitors from the Czech Republic since opening in June and we are proud to introduce such strong elements of Czech culture to the community through this showcase”
Selected interiors on show depict the rapidly increasing sophistication of Czech design in the production of furniture and furnishing accessories. Some of the well-known European artists who will be represented in the exhibition include Jakub Berdych, Jan Čapek, Dechem and Boda Horák with contributions from well-known interior manufacturers such as Bomma and Pirsc Porcelain.
An artistic celebration of central European culture in the heart of the capital, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery invites Ireland’s interior design lovers to view the must-see collection in its unique exhibition space located on the ground floor.
Minutes from the city centre and top local attractions like the Guinness Storehouse and Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery and visitor centre is open 7 days a week and located at stop 12A on Dublin’s “Hop On Hop Off”. Visitors can simply walk in or pre-booked tours are available here.
